Salem had considered a ban on sound amplifiers in the city during Haunted Happenings in order to discourage disruptions by overzealous preachers, but concerns from local tour groups and others pretty much stopped progress on the ban. Noise Quality for Haunted Happenings this year are expected to go back up to 2013 levels at least. And I can imagine other repercussions. My cartoon for the 08/12/2015 SALEM NEWS.
