For Art's Sake: Gettin' Those Freelance Artist Blues..

One of my utmost FAVORITE animated films is The Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE. I decided to do a warped tribute to it by using the film to make fun of the freelance artist/comics industry.

Freaking Felines

Several years back, the FILM ROMAN animation studio (The ones that produced the original GARFIELD TV series) announced they were going to make an animated film of the great Gilbert Shelton's THE FABULOUSLY FURRY FREAK BROTHERS. For some reason, that struck be as totally bizarre and i did this three-week (COMICS BUYERS GUIDE was weekly then) storyline about the two properties sort of crossing over. The three strips are below.

It's a Bird! It's Inane! It's...

Past episodes of my strip FOR ART'S SAKE from THE COMICS BUYER'S GUIDE focusing on Superman.
